SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Regional Health District’s (SRHD) Board of Health (BOH) selected Danny F. Scalise II to be the next administrative officer for the health district. During a special meeting held on March 4, the BOH unanimously approved a mutually agreed upon contract with Scalise.
Scalise is currently the public health director for Burke County, North Carolina, and he will start at SRHD no later than April 30. The selection was made after Scalise completed interview panels with SRHD executive leadership team, the BOH, and a group of community stakeholders.
Scalise is a nationally recognized public health executive with more than two decades of leadership experience across government, nonprofit organizations, and academia.
