New details about Spokane Valley Ice Rink Revealed, including the benefactor’s identity

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane Valley’s City Manager John Hohman is sharing new information about the potential new ice rink coming to Spokane Valley, and, in collaboration with The Innovia Foundation, revealing the identity of the mystery donor.

The new ice rink, if land lease negotiations are successful, will be about 7,000 square feet bigger than expected, at just under 80,000 square feet total. This will include over 500 seats, a heated mezzanine, 12 locker rooms, including 2 for referees and one dedicated women’s locker room, on top of over 400 parking spaces, which is about 100 more than expected.

Involved parties are expecting to present a negotiated land lease to Spokane Valley city council sometime in April, to immediately transition into the permit-review process, with the goal of getting skates on ice by June 2027…
