Spokane’s Garland Theater hosts Oscar night celebration

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Garland Theater hosted a live viewing party for the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday night, where local film enthusiasts gathered to enjoy Hollywood’s biggest night on the big screen.

Participants were encouraged to fill out Oscar ballots to predict the winners in each award category, engage in friendly movie trivia competitions and dress up in red carpet attire.

A few notable guests at the event were members of the production team that worked on the film “Train Dreams,” which was almost entirely shot in Eastern Washington.
