Cheney man dies after medical emergency causes crash on I-90 near Sprague

LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. – A 74-year-old Cheney man died on Friday morning after suffering a medical emergency while driving on Interstate 90, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

The incident occurred around 10:28 a.m. The male driver was traveling westbound on I-90, about seven miles east of Sprague, when he began to suffer a medical emergency and veered into the center median, where the vehicle came to rest.

A 65-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, called in the incident after the truck came to a stop in the median. She was reportedly uninjured…
