2 people arrested at Spokane ‘No Kings’ protest face theft, assault charges

SPOKANE, Wash. — Two people who were arrested on Saturday during a “No Kings” protest in Spokane are facing charges of theft and assault.

The two appeared before Spokane County Commissioner Tami Chavez on Tuesday and were released on their own recognizance.

Court documents show that 18-year-old Lilian Cantu is accused of stealing a blue “TRUMP” flag from a counter protester while it was draped over a man’s back. Police say she then ducked into the crowd and got rid of the flag…
