Women-owned business fair connects GU students and local vendors

The Gonzaga Student Body Association hosted its second annual Women-Owned Business Fair on March 27, uniting student entrepreneurs, local professionals and small business owners for an afternoon of community building, live music and a celebration of Women’s History Month.

Organized by GSBA, the fair featured a diverse lineup of local shops and female entrepreneurs, designed to do more than just showcase products. Community event coordinator Megan Brooks said her goal was to strengthen the connection between GU and the broader Spokane community.

“I think it’s really important to uplift women,” Brooks said. “Especially during Women’s History Month, to uplift these small businesses and give them more networking opportunities and to show students that women-owned businesses are important, and that you can do all the cool stuff.”…
