Spokane County suspect accused of trying to stab K9 during arrest

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said deputies arrested a domestic violence suspect after he tried to stab a police K9 while hiding in a closet.

SCSO said deputies responded to a mobile home park near South Geiger Boulevard and West Lawton Road on March 28 and found the adult female victim walking on South Geiger while other deputies went to the mobile home and set up a perimeter.

After speaking with the victim, deputies developed probable cause to arrest a 25-year old man on fourth-degree assault domestic violence charge, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies also learned he was a convicted felon with active felony and misdemeanor warrants…
