Another round of sunshine for Monday; Rain and thunderstorm chances increase for the mid-week

SPOKANE, Wash. – Mostly clear skies for Sunday evening and temperatures cooling off into the low 40’s overnight. Another warm day and another round of sunshine is expected to start the week with highs in the mid to upper 70’s in Spokane. Not quite reaching record highs, but well above average for this time of year! Yakima and the Tri-Cities may see some temperatures just above 80 degrees.

The next system arrives on Tuesday evening, as coastal low pressure will bring elevated thunderstorm and rain chances to the region by the afternoon. Light to moderate rain with breezy gusts can be expected throughout Wednesday and early Thursday morning. Mountain passes in the Rockies may see a wintry mix and snow accumulation. Average temperatures and sunshine return by the end of the week…
