Bryce Miller excelled in his outing, throwing three shutout innings while allowing just one hit as his fastball flirted with velocities in the upper-90s range.

He struck out six Spokane batters — five of which were swinging — and walked only one.

After Miller’s departure, right-hander Colton Shaw hurled six innings of one-run baseball, allowing four hits and one run while striking out seven and walking only one.
