SPOKANE, Wash. — The 50th running of Bloomsday is in the books, and while more than 40,000 people completed the course (and are still running it) and earned their T-shirts, only a select few emerged as winners in the elite divisions.

The men’s wheelchair division opened the race, followed by the women’s wheelchair, women’s elite and men’s elite divisions.

Men’s Wheelchair

Valera “Jacob” Allen crossed the finish line first in 28 minutes, 52 seconds to win the men’s wheelchair race. This was Allen’s third Bloomsday and his first victory.

Hermin Garic finished second in 32:20, and Phillip Croft finished third in 32:36.

Women’s Wheelchair

In the women’s wheelchair race, returning Bloomsday champion Hannah Babalola, a two-time Paralympian, won the race for the second consecutive year with a time of 41:16. She placed second in 2023 and 2024.
