Fallen Salas, Guting added to law enforcement memorial in Spokane

Spokane, Wash. — The 13th annual Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Candlelight Ceremony took place Monday night just outside the Public Safety Building in Spokane.

The ceremony is observed each year when the memorial is updated with the names of Washington law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. The Spokane Regional Law Enforcement Museum says this display was the first of its kind in the Evergreen State.

This year’s ceremony added the names of WSP Trooper Tara-Marysa Guting and Sgt. Ken Salas of Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. Organizers honored them, alongside other fallen law enforcement, by saying their names and sharing their stories…
