South Spokane shooting death reclassified from homicide to ‘pending’

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Medical Examiner has changed the manner of death for 47-year-old Derek Foreman from homicide to pending as investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding his death.

The Medical Examiner said both the cause and manner of death are now listed as “pending” to allow for further investigation. Once the review is complete, officials say they will provide an update.

Foreman was shot and killed in south Spokane. The Medical Examiner wrote that he died from a “gunshot wound of the right lower extremity.”…
