Ordinance aimed at curbing street racing gaining community support

SPOKANE, Wash.– The Spokane City Council is considering cracking down on street racing by imposing larger fines.

Council Member Paul Dillon said he saw three people street racing after last week’s council meeting and wants to keep pedestrians safe.

“I like the fast & furious movies as much as anyone,” Dillon said, “we constantly hear from constituents about this issue on our city streets. Typically at night.”…
