I SAW YOU
The girl in refreshment line at Indians game You: dolphin tattoo, long eyelashes, cherry lips and sipping on your orange crush. Me: A five foot one hunk, cowboy hat with turkey feathers and gator skinned boots. I caught you staring at me, suddenly I felt ten feet tall… then you had to leave with your friends…but cupids arrow had already pierced my fluttering heart: Was it cupids arrow? I wasn’t sure then _ I’m sure now! – same refreshment stand, next game?
CHEERS
I WON’T BE HERE BUT… Cheers to all of the Bloomies who participated in Bloomsday 50. You are all part of what makes Spokane special. I’ll be looking for those yellow shirts to show up all this week and well into the future. Bloomsday 100 in 2076. …some of you will see it.
OUR CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE: I’m amazed at my 3 year old grandson he has learned so much in his short life. He has learned right from wrong and how to treat people with respect. He has a concept of how to take care of himself. Kind, truthful, sincere, these are words I would use to describe him. Playing fair and not being a bully are important to him and he’s appreciative of his friends. He gives love and support to those he encounters and is genuinely sincere about his feelings. He has a realistic concept of time, two weeks is 14 days. He’s been taught to say what he means and mean what he says. He recognizes BS. When I tell him a whopper of a tale he calls me on it. When he gets in an argument with one of his siblings, they always fight fair. Both sides listening and talking to each other. He says…he wants to be the president. What am I supposed to say to that. I think he would actually be better than the 3-year-old we have in office now. Cheers to the children. They are our future.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL: The difference between emotional & spiritual is the same as the difference between the brain and the mind…
