Man suspected of DUI crashes into STA bus in northeast Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — A man suspected of driving under the influence crashed into a Spokane Transit Authority bus in northeast Spokane Wednesday night, sending multiple people to the hospital, according to the Spokane Police Department.

The crash occurred near the intersection of East Bruce Avenue and North Crestline Street when the man allegedly ran a stop sign on Bruce Avenue, causing a head-on crash with the STA bus, police said.

The driver’s passenger sustained an apparent broken leg and was transported to a local hospital, according to police. The suspect walked away from the scene with a limp but remained at the location until police arrived…
