Rain could continue into the latter half of the week, with the National Weather Service forecasting a 50% chance of showers on Thursday and a 20% chance of rain on Friday.
There is a chance for severe weather and excessive rainfall in the greater Houston area Tuesday night into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service’s Houston/Galveston Office.
There is a marginal risk of severe weather across most of Southeast Texas on Tuesday night and a slight risk for excessive rainfall for all of Southeast Texas on Wednesday, according to the weather service. Average rainfall amounts in the region are expected to be between 1 to 3 inches, with up to 5 inches in isolated locations.
According to the weather service, “A large complex of showers and thunderstorms forming over the Hill Country this afternoon will move across southeast Texas tonight and Wednesday morning. Additional thunderstorm development will be possible following this complex Wednesday afternoon.”…
