Newly seated members of Conroe City Council did not support an increase in the minimum lot size for new residential developments, saying it would make homes “unattainable” for young home buyers.
Council members John Sellars, Ken Blevins and Kristin Hoisington voted against raising the minimum lot size from 45 by 120 feet to 65 by 120 feet. Council members Shana Arthur and David Hairel brought the issue to council and supported raising the minimum requirement.
