Humble ISD school plants magnolia tree for Zion Branch after deadly Atascocita bakery crash

People gathered around a small magnolia tree Thursday at Guy M. Sconzo Early College High School to honor the life of a former student, Zion Branch, who died last month when a truck drove into the bakery where she worked.

“A magnolia tree symbolizes strength, perseverance, dignity, and everlasting love,” says the school’s social media post about the evening tree dedication ceremony in Humble.
