Spring man held on $1 million bond after toddler allegedly stomped, left on life support

SPRING – A Spring man is being held on a $1 million bond after investigators say he severely injured his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter — repeatedly — over the course of several days.

Gerardo Gonzalez is charged with injury to a child. Prosecutors say the charge could be upgraded depending on whether the girl survives. She remains on life support.

According to court records, the alleged abuse began Aug. 1. Investigators say Gonzalez hit the toddler in the head multiple times, causing a skull fracture. The girl’s mother, Jazmin Cisneros, saw visible injuries and Gonzalez admitted to hitting the child — but the girl did not receive medical treatment…
