Beaumont – The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) has obtained a permanent injunction, $680,000 in civil penalties and more than $20,000 in fees and court costs against the owner of nine Houston and Beaumont massage establishments suspected of engaging in human trafficking. Any unpaid part of the judgment will accrue additional penalties of 8.5 percent interest compounded annually.
