Trailer fire causes $40,000 in damage in Houston, no injuries reported

HOUSTON, Texas – A trailer fire erupted at a loading dock in Houston’s Mid West area, causing an estimated $40,000 in damage. The incident occurred on December 24, 2024, at 9:29 p.m. at 6135 Westheimer Rd.No injuries were reported, and firefighters managed to save approximately $110,000 in property, according to a press release from the Houston Fire Department. The fire, deemed unintentional, involved a 53-foot trailer at a large donation warehouse center. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and ensured no extension into the building, ventilating the smoke-filled warehouse with fans. A total of 52 personnel from multiple stations, including Stations 2, 68, 83, 10, 28, 38, 51, 60, 57, and Rescue 10, responded to the scene.
