This will not be Kelvin Sampson’s last Final Four. Years from now, at a venue to be determined, another coach will sit in front of a microphone and mention him in a story about an opportunity granted or a lesson learned.
That future coach will talk about how wisdom and career-changing big breaks are passed from one lucky guy to the next, and about how the entire profession is built upon a hand-me-down tradition.
