‘May God watch over you’ | Baytown boy pens letter to officers who helped save his life

HOUSTON — A 10-year-old Baytown boy is recovering at home after nearly drowning last month.

It was Saturday, May 24. Baytown officers say they were called to a home on East Road at around 11:30 a.m. about a possible drowning.

When officers got there, they found two men — a fire marshal and an off-duty paramedic — performing CPR on the child, identified as Gavin. His older brother had pulled him from the pool after finding him unresponsive…
