TEXAS (FOX 44) – Hundreds are paying their respects as the body of a Kerrville flood victim was escorted through Central Texas to Montgomery County.
Claire “Reese” Manchaca was with three friends in the Kerrville area when the flood hit. Manchaca’s mother is a long-time Conroe Independent School District employee who worked at Caney Creek and in the District Student Support Services.
Law enforcement officers and more than a dozen vehicles escorted Manchaca’s body home. Officers with Montgomery County Precinct 1, Precinct 2, Precinct 3, Precinct 4, and Precinct 5 Constables accompanied the recent Caney Creek Graduate back to Conroe for memorial services. Upon arriving in Conroe, hundreds of other law enforcement officers joined in the escort.
Along the route, Police, Fire, and EMS staged to honor Manchaca as the procession passed Highway 99 at FM-1314, where they exited. Travelers were told to expect traffic delays and to use caution in the intersection…
