A disorganized tropical disturbance will continue to run its course Saturday, soaking Southeast Texas with scattered downpours through early Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Although the National Hurricane Center gives this tropical system a minimal chance of developing into anything stronger, the regional weather service office for Houston and Galveston is warning that localized urban flooding should remain a concern.
However, drier skies and higher temperatures will return to Southeast Texas by early next week, forecasters said.

Houston’s rain chances on Saturday will be as high as 70%, with showers and a thunderstorm or two likely appearing in the afternoon. New rainfall amounts will likely be an inch or less, the weather service said. Otherwise, expect partly sunny skies and southerly winds of 5 to 10 mph.
