One in custody after three-county chase involving gunfire

SHEPHERD — A Conroe man is being held in San Jacinto County Jail after leading law enforcement officials from three counties on a chase where he allegedly fired shots at his pursuers.

According to reports from the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office, the pursuit, which happened on Friday, ended in Shepherd after beginning Montgomery County with shots reportedly fired at law enforcement.
