HOUSTON — Lamar High School students use a crosswalk to navigate busy Westheimer Road at Eastside Street. It’s a potentially treacherous task that left a 15-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
Video shared with KHOU 11 News showed him waiting on traffic to stop before crossing when an SUV that failed to stop struck him. Houston police said the 85-year-old driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
