Spring ISD Breaks Ground on $430 Million Spring High School, Marking a New Era for Students and Community

With construction set to begin following years of collaboration and planning, Spring Independent School District is set to break ground on the new Spring High School—a $430 million flagship campus designed to meet the needs of a growing student population and propel educational excellence for generations to come.

Funded through the district’s 2022 Bond and envisioned by Huckabee Architects and Smith & Company Architects, the new 740,000-square-foot campus will replace the original Spring High School, which was built in 1968. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, at 630 Riley Fuzzel Rd., Spring, TX 77373, and will include performances by student musicians, remarks from district leadership, and a ceremonial photo opportunity with refreshments to follow.

“This groundbreaking is not just about building a new high school, it’s about building futures,” said Spring ISD Board President Justine Durant. “Our community has come together to create a campus that will inspire learning, foster innovation, and prepare our students to lead in every arena—academics, the arts, athletics, and beyond. This new Spring High School stands as a symbol of what is possible when a community believes in its children.”…
