The IKEA off Interstate 10 is a familiar landmark for folks driving to and from Houston’s Inner Loop. So is the restaurant that sits at the edge of its parking lot. And after decades of driving by, I figured I should drop by—because it’s my job now.
Ranchero King Buffet at 1010 Antoine Dr. sports a neutral tan, sandy color with a stone trim and metal bars on its windows. It wouldn’t stand out anywhere else, but it does here by virtue of being sandwiched between the bright blue IKEA and the Woodland Funeral Home next door.
