The U.S. Army Reserve unit known as Ghost Riders will deactivate in 2026 after nearly 40 years in Conroe.
The 1st Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, is made up of U.S. Army Reservists and has made its home at the Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport since 1987.
