Two familiar faces have exited Houston’s TV news landscape, marking more shifts in a year of steady change across local stations.
After two years at FOX 26, reporter Abigail Dye has officially left the station. A FOX 26 spokesperson confirmed to Chron that Dye chose not to renew her contract, with her final day on air falling on Sept. 10.
Dye joined the station in September 2023 from FOX 23 News in Tulsa, Okla., where she covered crime and public safety. Soon after arriving in Houston, she took over duties for the station’s FOX 26 Crime Files segment.
