HOUSTON (KIAH) — There is a 20% chance of cyclone formation in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic in the next 7 days, according to the National Hurricane Center.
A tropical wave just off the west coast of Africa is producing shower and thunderstorm activity, but the system has a slow possibility of developing.
NOTE: Tropical Storm Gabrielle is forecast to intensify into a hurricane by Sunday, Sept. 21.

The National Hurricane Center is reporting a 20% chance of cyclone formation in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic as of 2:00 today, Friday, Sept. 19. The center reports a topical wave just off the west coast of Africa that is producing shower and thunderstorm activity.
