Conroe’s old Sam Houston Elementary to become an apartment complex with Overland redevelopment

Kansas-based development company Overland Property Group is moving forward with plans to repurpose Conroe’s old Sam Houston Elementary School into multi-family apartments.

The company will take ownership of the former Conroe ISD school building Sept. 30. The building was most recently owned by the City of Conroe with plans to turn it into a performing arts center, but the city sold the property to Overland earlier this year.
