SPRING, Texas — A Spring Independent School District substitute bus driver stopped a route Tuesday evening and called police for assistance, citing student distractions that made it unsafe to continue driving, according to district officials.
A parent told KHOU 11 their middle schooler was stranded miles from home for hours, with some students not arriving home until around 8 p.m. One mother, who asked to remain anonymous to protect her child, told KHOU 11 News she received a frantic call from her son.
