HOUSTON — A Houston man said a terrifying road rage incident on I-45 had him fearing for his life. Records show that the driver who was arrested has a recent history of road rage violence.
The suspect, 19-year-old Julio Camarena, was arrested following the incident. He was released from jail on Sunday after posting a $5,000 bond.
Connor Gibbs said he was unsure if he would make it home alive on Saturday. He said he was returning from a day of hiking when a black SUV stopped in the middle of the southbound lanes of I-45 near Parker Road. He passed the vehicle, which immediately started tailgating him aggressively and flashing its lights, he said.
