Eight Victims Identified as Investigation into Hidden Cameras at The Woodlands Hospital Continues as Ex-Supervisor Charged

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has reported further developments in the investigation of hidden cameras discovered in restrooms at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands. Detectives have now identified eight victims recorded by the cameras installed by former hospital supervisor Robert Shrader, and they believe more may come forward. As per KHOU 11, Shrader was arrested and charged with invasive visual recording after being caught on one of his own devices.

Charged with invasive visual recording, the arrest of the 41-year-old Shrader has raised alarms about privacy in public spaces. While installing cameras, an unexpected place was that it was discovered by a construction team during routine maintenance on August 21, exposing Shrader’s unauthorized surveillance, as detailed in court documents. These documents, obtained by KHOU 11, highlight the discovery of a wireless video camera in an HVAC system and other recording devices later found in Shrader’s office.
