Mom’s ex-con fiancé charged after 4-year-old accidentally shoots himself, court records say

HOUSTON — A man was arrested Monday after a southeast Houston shooting that left a 4-year-old boy fighting for his life.

Police said the victim accidentally shot himself in the head at the Sage Hollow Apartments on Fuqua Street in southeast Houston. The boy was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he remained in critical condition at last check following surgery.
