HOUSTON, TX – What began as a “paintball prank” between rival Houston high schools quickly spiraled into a full-blown suburban battle that ended with six teenagers arrested and charged as adults after unleashing chaos across residential neighborhoods.

Authorities say the so-called “paintball war” escalated far beyond harmless fun — becoming a felony-level crime spree involving paintball guns, fireworks, and smoke grenades that terrorized residents and caused significant property damage.

The incidents took place Monday night in the Wilchester West neighborhood and continued for days across west Houston. Harris County Precinct 5 Constable Terry Allbritton confirmed that deputies arrested six teens after they allegedly fired paintballs at homes and cars and set off fireworks along Pebblebrook Drive and Perthshire Road.
