BAYTOWN, TX – A repeat offender with a long history of selling prescription narcotics, 48-year-old Reginald Tennarse, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison following his conviction for possession with intent to deliver. Judge Patty Maginnis handed down the sentence in the 435th District Court on November 4, 2025.
The case began when Splendora Police Officer Michael Maynard conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 59, a known narcotics corridor. A K9 search alerted officers to two vacuum-sealed bags containing more than 250 hydrocodone pills hidden behind the vehicle’s radio. Tennarse had reportedly planned for his wife to take the blame, claiming the pills were hers, but investigators proved the quantity exceeded any legitimate prescription and documented his extensive criminal history, including prior convictions for distributing hydrocodone and fentanyl.
Assistant District Attorney Erin Delano said, “This defendant made a career out of selling drugs. He’s had multiple chances, yet he’s continued to reoffend, and this conviction ensures he can no longer exploit addiction for profit.”…
