Friday: Possible heavy rain in Houston
Afternoon: Storms may become more numerous along the Interstate 10 corridor during the afternoon and early evening hours Friday. This means evening commutes could be made a bit slower due to heavy rain and localized street flooding. The risk for flooding is low, as is the potential for strong or severe storms.
Saturday: Spotty showers, mainly south of Houston
Saturday morning: A weak front lingering over Southeast Texas brings spotty, hit-or-miss showers, mainly near and south of I-10. Much of the Houston metro stays dry, but areas toward Galveston, Brazoria County, and the coastal bend have the best chance of running into showers. Travelers heading south may encounter brief downpours.
