Pedestrian Killed in Spring As Houston Sees Back-to-Back Crashes

A late-night walk in Spring ended in tragedy early Monday when a pedestrian was struck and killed on Louetta Road near Carrot Street, capping a rough weekend for people on foot in the Houston area.

Deputies and EMS responded around 12:07 a.m., where medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. A white sedan was found stopped several hundred feet away. Investigators say the driver did not leave the scene, stayed with the vehicle, and is cooperating as they work to piece together what led up to the collision.

According to Click2Houston, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is leading the investigation. Sgt. B. Beaty told reporters the driver remained at the location and spoke with deputies.
