HOUSTON — Newly released body camera video shows a dangerous shootout between Houston police officers and a wanted suspect during a high-speed chase that ended in northwest Houston earlier this month.
Officers say the incident began on December 4, when they attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant, triggering a pursuit that escalated into gunfire. The suspect has since been identified as 33-year-old Jacques Otu Bassey, who police say was wanted on a felony warrant at the time.

According to police, the chase began on Antoine Drive and ended near West 34th Street after the suspect flipped his car and ran.
