Houston police seek suspect in shoplifting turned robbery

HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a shoplifting incident that escalated into a robbery by force. The incident occurred on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m. at a department store on the 4400 block of North Freeway.

An unidentified male suspect entered the store, collected several name-brand hoodies, and attempted to leave without paying. When confronted by an employee, the suspect assaulted her by pushing her to the ground before fleeing in a small black Ford sedan with the stolen items, according to the Houston Police Department.
