Police are out in force on three Houston streets in latest traffic control effort

Houston drivers will see more police writing traffic tickets Wednesday and Thursday as the city steps up enforcement in three neighborhoods, Mayor John Whitmire said.

This week, officers will focus on Westheimer, Almeda and North Shepherd roads as the agency continues its traffic control initiative, Whitmire said in a post on X.
