BAYTOWN, Texas — A 33-year-old Houston man has been arrested following an undercover operation targeting online predators, according to the Baytown Police Department. Toby James Woods faces charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor, a felony offense.
The arrest took place on January 8, 2026, during a proactive operation by the Baytown Police Department’s Special Investigations Division. Investigators allege Woods communicated with someone he believed to be a 16-year-old girl via a social media platform and arranged to meet her at a local school for sexual contact. Upon his arrival, Woods was taken into custody without incident.
Baytown Police Chief John Stringer emphasized the importance of such operations, stating, “Protecting our youth is one of our highest priorities.
