NEW CANEY, Texas (KBTX) – Two men were arrested Friday after an armed robbery at a convenience store led to a chase and multi-county investigation involving Montgomery and Liberty County sheriff’s offices.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 11:15 a.m. to an armed robbery call at a convenience store in the 26600 block of FM 1485 in New Caney. While units were responding, Montgomery County dispatchers alerted them to a robbery that had also occurred in Liberty County on FM 1010 near Colony Ridge.
Deputies received a detailed description of the suspects and their vehicle. A Montgomery County deputy spotted a vehicle matching that description and attempted a traffic stop. The suspects failed to stop, and a short pursuit ensued…
