When a Texas woman noticed her 4-year-old daughter was screaming and crying during school pick up, she knew something was wrong. It was just like any other school day when Marissa Braughton went to pick up her 4-year-old daughter from Smith Elementary School in Spring, Texas. When Braughton noticed her daughter screaming and crying, she quickly began to console her and figure out what was making her so upset. “I get down to her level. I’m like, ‘Baby, what’s wrong? Tell Mama what happened.’ And she immediately is like, ‘The teacher hit me.’ I said, ‘The teacher hit you?’ And she said, ‘Yes, the boy teacher, the substitute teacher.’ I said, ‘The boy teacher?’ And she’s like, ‘Yes, mama.
