Spring Fire Department mourns loss of firefighter and chief W.W. ‘Cotton’ Weaver

Spring Fire 1953 Volunteer Firefighter, Life Member, and former Fire Chief, W.W. “Cotton” Weaver, passed away last night at the age of 93 after a brief illness, according to a post on X by the Spring Fire Department.

The X post says the former Fire Chief was known as “Cotton”, and that he was the last surviving member of Spring Fire’s 1953 volunteer group and a lifelong champion of firefighting and emergency medical care.
