BAYTOWN, Texas — Students and parents packed a standing room only school board meeting in Baytown Tuesday night to demand safer schools following the death of a 16-year-old student who was stabbed on campus at Sterling High School last month.
The Goose Creek ISD meeting marked the district’s first board gathering of 2026 and the first since Andrew Meismer was allegedly killed by fellow student Aundre Matthews with a pair of scissors following an argument over a vape.
