Montgomery County man faces drug and threat charges after traffic stop

CONROE, Texas — A traffic stop in Conroe led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man from Porter on drug and threat charges, authorities said. The incident occurred on January 23, 2026, when deputies conducted a search and discovered controlled substances.

Eli Salazar, 41, of Porter, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1-1B, less than one gram, a state jail felony, according to the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office.
